Meta Adds Small-Business Skills and Connectors to Muse

Meta expanded Muse on September 29, 2026, with business skills and software connections intended to give its AI agent access to the information small-business owners use at work. The company had introduced Muse earlier that month as a personal assistant available in the United States and Canada. The new additions extend the agent to business tasks using merchants' existing accounts and records.

According to Meta, Muse can connect to analytics from professional Instagram accounts, Facebook Pages and advertising accounts. The company says those connections help the agent understand a merchant's products, brand voice and recurring customer questions. A business can therefore supply context from accounts it already manages on Meta's services, alongside information held in outside software.

Meta also described connections to dozens of outside tools that hold store, accounting, customer and brand information. The published announcement discusses Canva in particular. In a statement included by Meta, Canva co-founder and chief product officer Cameron Adams described bringing a business's existing creative context and templates into conversations with Muse. The example places the agent within work that already exists, with a route from an initial idea toward editable brand material.

The company directs users to Muse's settings for the current connector list. It also says users can create custom connectors for services outside that list, while prospective partners can apply to join the platform. Meta has not published a complete specification for every connection in the announcement, including the data and operations available through each outside application.

Iowa grocery owner Tom Mulholland said in the announcement that he worked roughly 65 hours a week and handled several roles at his store. He said he needed to free up time for the work that makes the shop money, and that Muse was taking over a few of those roles. Meta selected and published his account as part of the launch, alongside feedback from other businesses and partners.

Meta says Muse is free for most needs, with subscriptions for people seeking additional use. The company plans to add connectors and business skills in the coming months.
